Untitled (Hibiscus etc.)-Painting

The work is based on Japanese Brazilian comfort food "Hanaume" The pickles made by Hibiscus which is imitating the taste of "Umeboshi" (Traditional Japanese food made by Ume plum).  I created this work with a fascination for the evolution of memory and reenactment, aiming to reproduce things or customs that are not replicable due to geographical or environmental changes. I am intrigued by the process of reproducing them in the current environment or finding alternative methods to do so.
